When asked to design costumes for Tartuffe set during the BelleEpoque age of 1890's.
I made colourful frock coats for the men drawing inspiration from the Restoration period and lowered the necklines of some of the ladies gowns to suit the script.
During my research I found that the gowns designed by Charles Worth at that time did indeed reflect the Restoration and this gave me endless oportunities to create suitable gowns for the production.
